Congrats Obama!

Well I never was a huge fan of Obama regardless the fact that he once live in Indonesia, the country that I was born in and live in until today. I was in favor of Hillary during the Democrat’s candidate race.

But when Obama step forward to face the Republican, I support him more than McCain although I consider myself a puritan and my beliefs are somewhat different than the Democrat. Then again which non-American can stand the world that Bush created during eight years he reign in the White House.

I was there in the Indonesian Presidential Palace when Bush visited my country. He was faced with anger and his Secret Service put tight barrier around him. I don’t personally hate him as some terrorist would be, but who could just stay calm and watch the wars and the economic policies his administration created finally made the world security as well as it’s economy crumble.

I am happy that Obama wins the election. At least -I hope- there will be no war at least four years ahead. Obama, an American, had African and Asian backgrounds which I hope would push him to pay attention to the rest of the world and speaks of world peace and friendship. I do hope he could create wiser foreign policy so the radical groups wouldn’t have a ny reason to do another attack.

But can he live up to those expectation?
