Elizabethtown is playing now on Cinemax. As I work in my tiny desk at office, once a while my eyes gaze to the television screen. Watching Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst build their character in a probably one of the best movie I ever stumble upon.

The very first time I watched this movie, I was sitting desperately alone in some cheap hotel in Bandung. As the rain started to pour, I found my self trapped in the room. I had no umbrella with me while at the time I need to go outside. I had a very important job to do, on my own in a town with no friends arround.

Just as the charater which Bloom played in this movie, I was frustated. He wreck his job as his product design failed rejected by retail store which cause the company he work for suffered loss in total of billion dollars. While me, well, I was stuck in the room and on the verge of wrecking my career.

Along came Claire (played by Dunst), a stranger that support him. A person who just want to see him regardless of the failure hanging like a big axe over his head. A helping hand which unfortunately didn’t came for me, well, at least not in the form of such angelic figure as Claire.

The movie did actually urge me to just go out through the rain with a jacket over my head. I walk clueless since I did not know anything about the road and the public transportation there. It taught me to just get over my warry and started to walk my life. This story ended with me going home to Jakarta after I finished all my task in Bandung ahead of the scheduled time.

So if you ever face a frustating moment in life and all life’s problems seem overwhelming. I suggest you watch this movie. Elizabethtown.
